What is Panvert?

Panvert is a free online toolkit for cooks and bakers. Whether you’re converting a US recipe to grams, switching from a conventional oven to a fan oven, or swapping a round tin for a rectangular one, our converters give you a fast, reliable answer — no sign-up, no app, and it works on your phone right in the kitchen.

Why Panvert is different

Most converters treat every ingredient the same, but a cup of flour and a cup of honey weigh very differently. Panvert uses a per-ingredient density table, so 1 cup of flour correctly returns about 125 g while 1 cup of honey returns about 340 g. That accuracy is the difference between a bake that works and one that doesn’t.

How our conversions are calculated

Our conversions are based on standard baking references and ingredient densities, using the US cup (236.6 ml) as the volume standard. Weight conversions use exact metric factors (1 oz = 28.35 g, 1 US stick of butter = 113 g). Where an ingredient can vary, we use widely accepted average values so your results are consistent every time.
